GRAEME CONNORS ANNOUNCES FINAL ’60 SUMMERS’ TOUR DATES
RELEASES THIRD SINGLE FROM HIS BEST-SELLING ALBUM ’60 SUMMERS’
Graeme Connors best-selling #1 album has been the gift that keeps on giving, providing the legendary singer-songwriter with two hit singles, multiple awards nominations, and a tour that has seen him play to thousands of fans Australia wide. Now, Graeme announces a run of tour dates in his home state of Queensland along with the release of a third single, “Oldest Kid in Town”.
The tour will kick off on Tuesday 3rd October in Bowen before heading to Hughenden, Winton, Mount Isa and Cloncurry, culminating in a final ‘60 Summers’ intimate supper/concert/Q&A in his hometown of Mackay. This final show will take place at the Connors family owned ‘The Dispensary’ restaurant and is limited to 60 guests only. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
Graeme has been a regular visitor to the Queensland Outback and on this run he is revisiting locations that have featured significantly in his various songs and film clips. Graeme commented, “Queensland towns, people, history and landscapes have provided so much inspiration for me – both the coast and the interior – and revisiting this heartland will bring back many fond memories and surely create some new ones”.
The announcement of these new dates coincides with the release of the third single from the ’60 Summers’ album, “Oldest Kid in Town”. It follows the hits “Mt Everest” and “60 Summers”, the latter reaching #1 on The Music Network Official Country Airplay Chart and was a finalist in three categories at the 2017 Golden Guitar Awards including Single & Video of the Year and APRA/AMCOS Song of the Year.
The ’60 Summers’ album, a double disc collection of Graeme’s greatest hits, fan favorites, and a handful of new songs, spent over 10 months within the ARIA Top 40 Country Album chart after debuting at #1 on the chart in May 2016. The album has served as a reminder of the depth of songwriting and diversity of his performances in a career that has spanned over 40 years.
